Guiseppe Antonio Brescianello Suite in E-Minor

Italian violinist and composer Guiseppe Antonio Brescianello (1690 – 1758)’s work has been republished for solo guitar by Iduna. The E-minor suite in four parts, originally written for the Gallichone (a stringed instrument that is part of the lute family), has been rearranged by Eugène den Hoed. The suite is recognisable by a gallant, harmonic, and melodic style. The traditional repeat signs have been withheld by Eugène den Hoed. The repeats themselves have been – as per tradition in baroque music – written in a simple variation.
