15 Modern Studies for Guitar
Eugène den Hoed’s ’15 Modern Studies for Guitar’ was published by Iduna. The collection is dedicated to Leo Brouwer (as was the Sonatina Ostinato). The 15 etudes were inspired by Leo Brouwer’s famous ‘Estudios Sencillos’. The technical complexity of the pieces also strongly resembles that of the first ten Brouwer etudes. A welcome addition to the collection of any guitar player with a discerning eye and ear concerning daring compositions.
