Eugène den Hoed adapted fourteen pieces from the repertory of famous Spanish composer Fernando Sor (1778 – 1839) to be playable for either two guitars or a guitar and flute/violin combination.
The guitar section have been ‘more harmonically spaciously’ filled than the original where necessary; this creates an optimal balance between both instruments. A selection has been made from opus 31, 33 and 35 amongst others. A separate part for the soloist is included. The whole creates a refreshing look on this composer’s guitar music.
